Drawn by the artist Timi Hayek, this silk print is inspired by Lebanese architecture in Beirut, highlighting the importance of preserving the cultural heritage of the region and its natural environment. With their charming red tiled roofs and triple arched windows, these architectural treasures were built in the 19th century using sandstone and designed with distinctive high ceilings to keep cool during the long summer months. These traditional Lebanese houses drew inspiration from Mediterranean, Ottoman and Venetian influences.
With hand rolled edges manually sewn in Como, Italy, this silk scarf can be worn around the neck, as a hair accessory or framed and displayed up on the wall in your home.
A short description of 'Traditional Lebanese Mountain House' is written on the tag of the scarf, presented in a beautiful white Timi Hayek gift box.
