As Carl Sagan once put it, the stars are the friends of explorers. Humans have looked to the stars for guidance since time immemorial.
Drawn by the artist Timi Hayek, this print is inspired by antique celestial and constellation maps, particularly from the early 16th century. Medieval star maps included the zodiac in graphical representation using woodblocks. These latinized manuscripts were used to identify and locate constellations, stars, nebulae and far-off galaxies to navigate our dark and treacherous seas, solely illuminated by the twinkling heavens above.
With hand rolled edges manually sewn in Como, Italy, this silk scarf can be worn around the neck, as a hair accessory, on your favorite leather handbag or framed and displayed up on the wall in your home.
